What is 'Awa?

'Awa is a drink made from the roots and stump of a plant called Piper Methysticum, a relative to black pepper. It has been consumed throughout the South Pacific for over 3,000 years because it is known to promote feelings of calm, well-being, and sociability. It tastes earthy and numbs the tongue slightly. Fresh Hawaiian 'Awa and Dry Kava

What's the difference? Fresh is from the Big Island and has never been dried, it has a milder taste! Dry comes from all over the South Pacific and has been dried for shelf stability - this means we can get a stronger mix!
